Job Summary
The Construction Labourer will support skilled tradespeople in a variety of construction tasks, including painting, demolition, drywall installation, flooring, tile work, and bathroom renovations. This role requires physical stamina, attention to detail, and a strong commitment to safety.
Key Responsibilities
- Painting:
Prepare surfaces, mix paints, and apply using brushes, rollers, or sprayers to achieve smooth, uniform finishes.
- Demolition:
Safely dismantle structures, remove debris, and prepare sites for new construction.
- Drywall:
Assist in measuring, cutting, and installing drywall panels; perform taping, mudding, and sanding.
- Flooring:
Aid in the installation of various flooring materials, including hardwood, laminate, vinyl, and tile.
- Tile Work:
Assist with cutting, laying, and grouting tiles, ensuring precision and quality finishes.
- Bathroom Renovations:
Support all aspects of bathroom remodelling, including plumbing, tiling, and fixture installation.
- General Labor:
Carry out site cleanup, material handling, and equipment maintenance as needed.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Proven experience in construction or similar labor-intensive roles.
- Basic knowledge of construction techniques and safety practices.
- Ability to operate hand and power tools.
- Physical stamina and strength for heavy lifting and outdoor work.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Good communication skills and ability to follow instructions.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in painting, demolition, drywall, flooring, tile, or bathroom renovations.
- Certifications in relevant construction safety courses.
Working Conditions
