Job Summary

Duties
- Assist dentists during a variety of dental procedures, including restorative, orthodontic, and pediatric treatments
- Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments, setting up supplies, and ensuring all equipment is functioning properly
- Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays), utilizing CAD (Computer-Aided Design) tools when necessary for precise imaging
- Manage patient records using dental software such as Epic or Dentrix to ensure accurate documentation and scheduling
- Provide excellent customer service as a dental receptionist—answering phones, scheduling appointments, and greeting patients with warmth and professionalism
- Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care instructions to promote optimal health outcomes
- Support orthodontic procedures by assisting with appliance placement and adjustments as needed
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Dental Assistant Level II or similar role with a strong understanding of dental assisting procedures
- Proficiency in dental software such as Dentrix or Epic for scheduling and record management
- Knowledge of orthodontics, pediatrics, and medical terminology relevant to dentistry
- Ability to operate CAD systems for digital imaging and treatment planning
- Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with patients of all ages and backgrounds
- Certification in Dental Assisting from an accredited program; additional certifications in orthodontics or pediatrics are a plus
- Familiarity with dental reception duties including appointment scheduling and insurance processing is highly desirable
