Highlights of the job
We are hiring one (1) full-time temporary, Storeman position (up to 11 months), working out of Edmonton, AB.
As the Storeman, you will support Warehousing and Inventory operations and will be responsible for managing EPCOR’s inventory. This includes, but is not limited to receiving, storing, picking, shipping, and counting inventory.
What you’d be responsible for
Providing input to the plans and directions of the Manager of Warehousing and Inventory, and ensuring collaborative relationships are maintained with other team members across EPCOR.
Performing the following job duties:
Maintaining cycle count accuracy
Receiving and/or returning materials
Monitoring stock and restocking levels
Picking up, delivering and shipping materials
Conducting physical counts (inventory) of materials.
Ensuring materials are properly issued and transferred, and scrap materials are recycled in a safe and environmentally conscious manner.
Coordinating and ensuring the proper clean-up of environmental spills.
Creating requisitions and receiving them against purchase orders.
What’s required to be successful
Grade 12 diploma or equivalent.
Minimum one year of warehousing or related experience.
Understanding basic Materials Management Practices.
A high level of proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Office, Excel, Outlook) is required.
Previous experience using ERP systems (Oracle or related software) is required.
Strong consideration will be given to applicants possessing Transportation of Dangerous Goods experience, WHMIS Certificate, Construction Safety Training System Certificate, and experience operating a forklift to load and unload materials (valid tickets/certificates will be preferred).
Valid Class 5 Alberta Motor Vehicle Operator’s License (with 6 demerits or less). A Driver Abstract will be required. Successful candidates may be required to use their own vehicle for business related purposes to travel between sites within Edmonton. Reimbursement for these expenses will occur in accordance with EPCOR's Vehicle Allowance Policy.
Ability to meet the physical demands required of this position. Clearance on pre-placement medical and drug & alcohol testing will be required.
The ability to use hand tools and ladders in accordance with EPCOR safety standards.
