Hours: Monday to Friday (0700-1600)
Payrate: $21.37/hr. - $22.66/hr. "Based on levelling system"

Job Description:

Assist the Supervisor and/or Team Lead with incident and complaint investigations.

Assist with audits and documentation management as requested by the Supervisor, Team Lead, and/or the Hospital.

Communicate any concerns/issues with Supervisor or Team Lead.

Communicate information to Clients and Security team members using telecommunications systems and equipment. Information management of major incidents, escalating major incidents to required stakeholders as per the established procedure.

Provide customer service to Hospital Staff, Security Staff, and General Public.

Take incoming radio, phone, and in-person calls, document details and escalate to the proper resource.

Dispatch all service calls to the appropriate responder(s) as per the established procedures.

Direct back-up support units, as needed, to incidents and calls for service.

Complete detailed documentation and reports of activities as called into the Security Department.

Monitor security systems (i.e., CCTV, access control, alarms, etc.) and respond in accordance with established procedures.

Interacts with Police, the Fire Department, and EMS.

Updates and maintains the Security Incident database.

Perform other duties as assigned.
Prerequisites:
-
Strong reading, writing, and verbal communication skillsProficiency with MS Office suite, Outlook, Word, Excel, Etc.

The ability to type a minimum of 50 WPM with no errors

Ability to process large call volumes and exercise sound and accurate decisions
-
Minimum 6 months of experience in Alarm Monitoring, Dispatch, CCTV Monitoring, or Call Centre experience

Immunization Record (Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, and TB skin tests 1 and 2)

Preference will be given to candidates with full G class driver's license

First Aid CPR C

Legally authorized to work in Canada

Must be able to provide certifications in Use of Force (UOF) and Management of Aggressive Behavior (MOAB)
-
Applicants who do not possess these certifications can opt into Paladin's Use of Force (UOF)/Management of Aggressive Behavior (MOAB) training program prior to their onboarding training to ensure they meet the requirements of the position
Please be aware: The UOF/MOAB certification is not paid as it is a pre-employment requisite; however, Paladin will cover all the costs of the training with a 6-month commitment to the position/availability.
