Position Details
Bird Nason Contracting Group Ltd. is currently seeking, hardworking and safety focused Labourers for seveal projects across Edmonton.
- Schedule: 5 days on / 2 days off
- Start Date: June 2026
- Wage: $24.67 - $30.67 as per Collective Agreement
- Benefits & RRSP provided in accordance with the Collective Agreement
What You Will Be Working On
- Perform general labour duties to support trades and overall site operations.
- Assist carpenters, equipment operators, and other trades with basic tasks and material movement.
- Conduct regular site cleanup, including sweeping, debris removal, waste sorting, and maintaining safe walkways.
- Handle, load, and unload materials, tools, and equipment.
- Set up and dismantle temporary work areas, barricades, and signage.
- Operate basic hand tools and small equipment (training provided where required).
- Support safe work practices by identifying hazards and participating in daily toolbox talks and hazard assessments.
- Follow direction from Forepersons and Supervisors to ensure efficient, safe workflow.
What We Are Looking For
- Previous construction experience.
- Ability to work in a physically demanding environment: lifting, carrying, bending, and walking on uneven ground.
- Strong safety awareness and willingness to follow all company and site procedures.
- Reliable, self‑motivated, and able to work effectively with minimal supervision.
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
- Ability to work outdoors and in varying weather conditions for extended periods.
Required Safety Certifications
- CSTS 20
- WHMIS 2015
- ESC Fall Protection (asset)
- Ground Disturbance (asset)
- Valid Driver’s License
