Overview
We are seeking a vigilant and dependable Security Guard to ensure the safety and security of our premises. The ideal candidate will be responsible for monitoring the property, preventing loss, and maintaining a secure environment for staff and visitors. This role requires a keen eye for detail, strong observation skills, and the ability to respond promptly to incidents. Prior experience in law enforcement or surveillance is a plus, along with familiarity with CCTV systems and loss prevention strategies.
Responsibilities
- Conduct regular patrols of the facility to monitor for suspicious activity or safety hazards
- Monitor surveillance equipment, including CCTV cameras, to oversee all areas of the property
- Enforce security policies and procedures to prevent theft, vandalism, and unauthorized access
- Respond promptly to alarms, emergencies, or incidents, and coordinate with law enforcement if necessary
- Maintain detailed logs of daily activities, incidents, and observations
- Assist visitors and staff by providing directions or information while maintaining security protocols
- Conduct security checks on entrances, exits, and sensitive areas of the property
- Collaborate with management to develop and implement loss prevention strategies
Requirements
- Prior experience in law enforcement, security services, or related fields is preferred
- Knowledge of surveillance systems and CCTV operation is highly desirable
- Strong understanding of loss prevention techniques and security best practices
- Excellent observational skills with attention to detail
- Ability to remain calm and professional in high-pressure situations
- Good communication skills for effective reporting and interaction with staff and law enforcement agencies
- Must be reliable, punctual, and able to work flexible hours as needed
- Ability to pass background checks and any required training certifications
Pay: $18.00 per hour
