ABOUT THE POSITION
We are seeking a reliable and safety-conscious Machine Operator to operate, monitor, and maintain production machinery to ensure products are manufactured safely, efficiently, and according to quality standards. The successful candidate will follow production procedures, perform routine machine checks, identify issues, and maintain a clean and organized work area..
JOB DESCRIPTION:
- Operate and monitor production machinery and equipment according to established procedures.
- Set up machines and adjust operating parameters as required.
- Load raw materials and ensure proper machine feeding.
- Inspect finished products to ensure they meet quality and production specifications.
- Perform routine machine checks and basic preventive maintenance.
- Identify machine malfunctions, defects, or production issues and report them promptly.
- Make minor adjustments to machinery within the scope of training and authorization.
- Maintain accurate production, inspection, and downtime records.
- Follow all company safety policies, operating procedures, and quality standards.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Assist with machine changeovers, cleaning, and tooling changes as required.
- Work collaboratively with production, maintenance, and quality teams.
- Meet daily production targets while maintaining product quality and workplace safety.
REQUIREMENTS / CERTIFICATIONS
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Previous 1+ year of experience operating manufacturing or production machinery is an asset.
- Mechanical aptitude and ability to understand machine controls and operating procedures.
- Good attention to detail and ability to identify product defects.
- Ability to read and follow work instructions and safety procedures.
- Good problem-solving and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Basic computer skills are an asset.
- Willingness to work shifts, overtime, or weekends when required.
WORKING CONDITIONS
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
- Ability to lift, move, and handle materials as required by the position.
- Ability to perform repetitive tasks safely.
- Ability to work in a manufacturing environment and wear required personal protective equipment (PPE).
COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS
SCHEDULE:
- Monday to Friday: Day, afternoon and Night shift
