Perfect Landscaping is excited to announce a newly created position for a General Manager. This role reports directly to the owner and is responsible for overseeing the business and office functions while supporting operations. As the General Manager, you will play a pivotal role in driving the company’s strategic vision, ensuring efficiency, profitability and maintaining the highest standards of quality and customer service.
Responsibilities:
· Operational Management: Manage the operations of the office, administration, and general business functions.
· Support to VP of Operations: Provide comprehensive support to the Vice President of Operations and the operations team to ensure alignment and efficiency.
· Team Coordination: Assign responsibilities and foster a well-organized, efficient workplace for office staff.
· Office Efficiency: Maintain smooth office operations through effective management and organization.
· Business Functions Oversight: Manage administration, project management, and estimating teams to ensure optimal performance.
· Strategic Implementation: Support and implement strategies for efficient, effective and productive operations.
· Sales and Business Development: Lead efforts to drive company growth.
· Performance Monitoring: Analyze weekly metrics dashboards to track performance and identify areas for improvement.
· Project Management: Ensure timely and successful project completion.
· Management Collaboration: Work closely with the Owner and the Vice President of Operations to address operational challenges.
· Building Administration: Ensure facilities are well-maintained and compliant with standards.
· Procurement Management: Oversee equipment purchases, repairs, and maintenance to ensure operational readiness.
· Innovation and Improvement: Drive improvements in business systems and processes to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
· Strategic Planning: Implement initiatives that align with company goals and drive growth.
· Human Resources Management: Make key decisions regarding hiring, terminations, and promotions to build and maintain a strong team holding people accountable.
· Employee Motivation: Inspire and motivate employees to achieve optimal performance and foster a positive work environment.
· Performance Evaluations: Conduct evaluations and address issues to ensure continuous improvement and development.
· Work Environment: Promote a safe, enjoyable, and productive work environment, adhering to all health and safety regulations.
Qualifications:
· Leadership: Proven ability to lead, inspire, and manage teams with a minimum of 5 years in a senior-level management position.
· Business Acumen: Strong understanding of business principles, including financial management and strategic planning.
· Human Resources: Experience in growing high-performing teams and bringing out the best in people.
· Industry Expertise: Knowledge of landscaping or construction processes, techniques, and best practices is an asset.
· Communication: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
· Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
· Integrity and Ethics: High level of professionalism and ethical conduct.
