Role Overview
We are looking for a part-time Medical Receptionist with relevant clinic experience to join our front desk team. The schedule will be strictly weekend shifts, with additional coverage for vacations and occasional sick days.
Key Duties
- Welcome patients and handle check-in procedures with professionalism
- Confirm and update personal and insurance information accurately
- Answer phone calls and manage general inquiries
- Book, adjust, and cancel appointments using JaneApp
- Process payments and submit insurance claims via Telus Health, Provider Connect, Blue Cross, Sun Life, etc.
- Ensure the accuracy and confidentiality of electronic patient records
- Support daily administrative operations and clinic communications
- Participate in staff meetings and continued education sessions as required
What We’re Looking For
- Experience working in a healthcare office setting (physiotherapy, chiropractic, or foot care)
- Skilled with Microsoft Office, EMR systems (especially JaneApp), and insurance portals
- Ability to focus and stay efficient in a busy and occasionally interruptive environment
- Strong multitasking and organizational skills with an eye for detail
- Discretion when handling private health information
- Quick to adapt and eager to learn new systems or processes
- Comfortable working both independently and as part of a team
- Friendly, professional communication and excellent patient service skills
