Overview
We are seeking a motivated Apprentice Electrician to join our team. This entry-level position offers hands-on experience in electrical systems in construction environments. The ideal candidate will assist licensed electricians in installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical wiring and equipment, gaining valuable skills and knowledge to advance their career in the electrical trade.
Responsibilities
- Assist licensed electricians with installing, troubleshooting, and repairing electrical systems and components.
- Use hand tools and power tools safely and effectively to perform various tasks.
- Read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and technical diagrams to guide installation and repair work.
- Support the setup of wiring systems and ensure compliance with safety standards.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to safety protocols at all times.
- Learn to identify potential electrical hazards and report them promptly to supervisors.
- Participate in training sessions to enhance technical skills and knowledge of electrical codes and standards.
Experience
- Prior experience or familiarity with electrical work is a plus but not required; we provide comprehensive training for the right candidate.
- Basic understanding of hand and power tools is an asset.
- Construction experience or background in related trades is advantageous but not mandatory.
- Strong interest in developing a career as an electrician with a willingness to learn on the job.
- Completion of an electrical pre-apprenticeship course is an advantage, but not required
