POSITION SUMMARY:
We are seeking a results-driven, highly organized, and accountable Warehouse Supervisor to oversee daily logistics, inventory control, and team operations. The Warehouse Supervisor will partner with the Warehouse Manager to oversee inventory and staffing. The Supervisor will ensure that all warehouse activities are conducted efficiently and profitably.
This position is responsible for the operations and people within the facility. A successful candidate should thrive on running a team with a sense of urgency and purpose while enjoying working with a prominent level of technology.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
Operations & Inventory Leadership
- Daily Oversight: Coordinate daily warehouse operations, including inventory control, order picking, packing, and staging to ensure maximum daily throughput.
- Workflow Optimization: Streamline order processing systems and strategically delegate tasks to manage high-volume peak hours and resource allocation.
- Systems Management: Leverage Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), ERP software, and MS Office to track stock levels and analyze operational data.
Team Supervision & Accountability
- Performance Training: Directly lead, train, and mentor front-line warehouse staff on operational protocols, equipment handling, and service efficiency.
- Conflict & Problem Resolution: Serve as the first escalation point for complex operational issues, troubleshooting challenging situations with rapid, decisive problem-solving with General Manager
Safety, Compliance & Quality Assurance
- HACCP & Quality Control: Monitor and maintain warehouse storage conditions (e.g., temperature and humidity controls) in strict accordance with HACCP principles to prevent cross-contamination and ensure product integrity.
- Regulatory Compliance: Assist in upholding compliance with natural health product protocols, ensuring proper lot tracking, allergen control, and rotation (FEFO/FIFO) protocols are met.
Position Qualifications:
- EDUCATION:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate degree preferred.
- EXPERIENCE:
- At least three years of related experience required.
- 1-2 years supervisory experience required.
- SKILLS:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent supervisory and people skills.
- Thorough understanding of warehouse policies and procedures.
- A sense of urgency and self-motivation.
- Demonstrated ability to identify and solve problems and issues.
- Thorough understanding of applicable federal, state, local, and company safety policies.
- Certifications: Valid Forklift Operator Certification (Counterbalance / Narrow Aisle Reach Truck).
Position Requirements and Working Conditions:
- Must be able to lift to 50 pounds at a time.
- Must be able to walk and stand for extended periods of time/duration of shift.
- Must be able to hear and see in accordance with safety measures in the warehouse.
- Must be able to traverse and access all areas of the warehouse.
