Job Overview
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Warehouse & Delivery Associate to join our team at Inform Projects. In this role, you will handle day-to-day warehouse operations, including shipping, receiving, order picking, and inventory management, as well as transport materials directly to construction jobsites. The ideal candidate understands warehouse workflows, is comfortable operating heavy equipment, and possesses a solid awareness of construction site safety regulations.
Schedule
- Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM (includes a 30-minute lunch break).
- Overtime may be required during peak demand periods or specific project needs, paid in accordance with BC Employment Standards.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Perform shipping and receiving tasks with accurate documentation and inventory control.
- Pick, pack, and prepare orders efficiently to meet project deadlines.
- Conduct deliveries to active construction sites, adhering strictly to site safety rules, access protocols, and offloading instructions.
- Safely load, unload, and transport heavy products and materials.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized warehouse environment.
- Collaborate with project managers and site personnel to ensure smooth material deliveries.
Qualifications & Experience
- Jobsite & Construction Awareness: Prior experience in construction or familiarization with jobsite safety regulations and protocols is strongly preferred.
- Physical Requirements: Strong physical stamina with the ability to perform heavy lifting (up to 50 lbs) and remain active throughout the shift.
- Experience: Previous experience in distribution, logistics, or building materials is preferred.
- Technical Skills: Familiarity with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) or inventory tracking software is a plus.
- Carpentry & Kitchen Knowledge (Optional): Familiarity with carpentry, cabinetry, millwork, or kitchen components is a great bonus but not mandatory.
- Driver's License (Optional): A valid Class 5 Driver’s License with a clean driving record is not required but is a strong asset. (Candidates who have it and perform delivery duties may be eligible for a driving premium or allowance).
- Forklift & Heavy Equipment (Optional): Forklift certification or prior experience operating heavy warehouse equipment is not mandatory but will be favorably considered.
Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) Requirements Candidates must provide their own safety gear, including:
- CSA approved steel toe boots
- Hard hat
- High visibility vest
