Job Summary
We are seeking a Forklift Operator to join a logisctics company Immdiately. In this role, you will be responsible for efficiently handling, moving, and organizing inventory using various types of forklifts and related equipment. Your expertise will ensure smooth warehouse operations, accurate order fulfillment, and safe handling of goods. Duties
- Operate forklifts, including clamp trucks and order pickers, to load, unload, and transport materials within the warehouse
- Perform heavy lifting tasks safely and efficiently to move inventory to designated areas
- Assist with order picking by selecting products according to order specifications with precision
- Conduct routine inspections of forklift equipment to ensure proper functioning and report any maintenance needs
- Support warehouse distribution processes by organizing stock for easy access and optimal space utilization
- Utilize mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot minor equipment issues and perform basic repairs when necessary
Skills
- Proven experience in warehouse distribution operations with familiarity in using various forklift types
- Certification in forklift operation and clamp truck handling preferred or willingness to obtain certification upon hire
- Strong mechanical knowledge for equipment troubleshooting and maintenance support
- Ability to perform basic math calculations related to inventory counts and measurements
- Excellent physical stamina for heavy lifting and prolonged standing or walking shifts
- Experience with warehouse management systems (WMS) for inventory tracking and order processing
- Skilled in order picking techniques with attention to accuracy and efficiency
