In this role, you’ll warmly welcome customers and visitors as they arrive at the City Hall Service Centre, assess what they need, and guide them to the right service counter, staff member, or room. You’ll make sure the appropriate staff are available to assist both scheduled and drop in visitors, and you’ll use check in technology to register arrivals and track customer traffic and service usage across the building.
You’ll occasionally assist individuals experiencing uncertainty or frustration, drawing on your strong interpersonal skills and your ability to stay calm, communicate clearly, and use basic de escalation techniques to keep interactions positive and respectful while helping them get where they need to go.
