As a member of EY Canada’s wavespace* innovation team you will have the opportunity to work with some of our most forward-thinking clients to help them navigate the waves of digital disruption and think through their transformation journeys. Our wavespace methodology is based on a design thinking approach to help our clients identify and action new value generating opportunities. Our wavespace team works closely with EY’s go to market teams to engage with clients on some of their most strategic endeavours. EY wavespace represents a new and different way of creating digitally enabled, collaborative environments for EY, our clients and often 3rd parties to get together and embark on end to end journeys of discovery, idea generation and innovation agenda building.

Your key responsibilities
Working with EY account teams and our clients to help identify and articulate clear areas of focus for innovation and transformation
Leading end-to-end wavespace journeys where you will:
Drive discovery phases to ensure an in depth understanding of clients’ current situation and future vision through interviews and/or review of strategic plans.
Design, prepare and execute immersive innovation sessions where you will:
Identify and bring internal and/or external thought leaders, case studies and examples to inspire new perspectives
Distill and ensure relevant insights from client discovery phase are shared
Facilitate design-thinking based activities, ideation and prioritization sessions to draw out innovative, client-centric, value-generating results
Leverage your creative ingenuity and our digital collaboration technologies to create exceptional and unique immersive experiences with our clients.
Collaborate with EY account teams to deliver insightful briefings from the wavespace journeys to support further engagement opportunities
In certain circumstances, you will also work closely with our Design Studio and other resources, to co-create prototypes with our clients in order to gain further clarity and alignment on innovative concepts identified during wavespace journeys.
In general, you will be expected to:
Deliver differentiating client experiences, devise practical approaches to solving complex problems and drive alignment towards insightful solutions.
Demonstrate excellent communication skills, integrate into new teams and rapidly establish credibility with clients
Be well versed in digital trends and disruption affecting our clients’ business landscape.
Have strong project management skills, be delivery focused / detail oriented and demonstrate confidence in managing executive stakeholders with potentially differing perspectives
Promote collaboration and elevate conversations to new heights
Deliver exceptional and high-quality outcomes that bring new value to our clients
Coach others as necessary to create high-performing delivery teams for each client wavespace journey
Support account teams as necessary in any follow on client pursuits
To qualify for the role you should have:
4-6 years of management consulting or equivalent business transformation or strategy experience
Strong executive presence
Solid project management skills
Expertise in design thinking tools and methods
Executive level meeting management and facilitation skills
Familiarity with digital trends affecting the business landscape and key issues / opportunities facing major industries
Prior experience in business process redesign and/or operating model definition is considered a plus
Cultural/political awareness and strong EQ
Ideally, you’ll also have
MBA or equivalent Masters degree preferred
