Retail Sales Associate

As we continue to evolve and grow across Canada, we are looking for a new Retail Sales Associate based out of our Ottawa location.

There are no evening shifts and the store is closed on statutory holidays. The person filling this role will work 3 out of 4 Saturdays each month.
What will you be doing?
Building, maintaining, and expanding relationships with individual & agency customers. You’ll do this by:
· opening and closing the showroom, working the till, keeping the showroom clean and stocked,
· matching customer needs with available products in-person, by phone, and email,
· helping with customer returns, warranty claims, product questions, etc.,
· working with other departments to keep the business working efficiently,
· keeping up-to-date on product knowledge, industry trends, and other news & information relevant to our customers.
What do you need to succeed in this role?
· 2+ years of proven success in retail sales OR law enforcement or military experience,
· Solid listening, problem-solving, and organizational skills,
· The ability to change priorities quickly,
· The ability to lift up to 50lbs comfortably and safely, and stand for long periods of time,
· Comfort with the Microsoft Office suite.
What would be helpful in this role?
· Experience in retail and/or a background in the Military or Law Enforcement would be preferred.
· Previous experience with technical clothing and footwear,
· Experience with inventory management software,
· Ability to speak and write fluently in French would be an asset,
· Basic experience and comfort in handling a firearm and possessing or having the ability to acquire a Firearms Licence PAL/RPAL.
Compensation: $20.00-25.00/hour, commensurate with experience and knowledge.
