GH Renovations Inc. is a growing construction and renovation company based in North York, ON. We are looking for a detail-oriented Accountant to join our team. This is a hands-on role where you will own daily AP/AR tasks, contractor payments, reconciliations, and client follow-ups while working closely with a collaborative team in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions accurately and on time
- Enter bills, invoices, payments, and deposits in QuickBooks Online
- Prepare and process contractor payments, ensuring proper documentation
- Perform bank, credit card, and account reconciliations
- Follow up professionally with customers regarding invoices, payments, and outstanding balances
- Maintain accurate accounting records and supporting documents
- Assist with day-to-day bookkeeping and administrative accounting tasks
- Communicate effectively with customers, vendors, contractors, and internal team members
- Support month-end and year-end accounting activities as needed
Qualifications
Required
- Previous experience in bookkeeping, accounting, AP/AR, or a similar role
- Proficiency with QuickBooks Online
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
- Clear and professional communication skills
- Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage daily workloads independently
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Office applications
Nice to Have
- Working toward a CPA designation
- Experience in construction, renovation, or contractor-based businesses
