About the Role:
True Talent Solutions Inc. is hiring an experienced Order Picker on behalf of our client, a distribution company in South Scarborough. This role is designed for skilled, equipment-certified candidates ready to hit the ground running in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
Candidates currently residing in or near Scarborough with reliable personal transportation are strongly encouraged to apply.
Shift & Schedule:
- Midnight shift, Monday to Saturday (12:00am–8:00am or 10:00pm–6:00am)
- 30-minute unpaid break included
- Physically demanding work over extended shifts — you'll be on your feet lifting and moving items throughout the night
Pay:
- $17.60/hour base pay
- Performance-based bonus available after achieving required productivity and accuracy targets
- Current experienced pickers who consistently meet targets have progressed to effective earnings of approximately $28–$33/hour including performance incentives
- Bonus eligibility is based on maintaining both speed targets and high order accuracy rates
Responsibilities:
- Pick and fulfill orders accurately and efficiently in a high-volume warehouse environment
- Operate a walkie rider pallet jack and Raymond reach truck/forklift as part of daily duties
- Use RF scanners, barcode scanners, handheld devices, and inventory systems
- Navigate mobile applications and digital workflows
- Maintain speed, accuracy, and productivity targets on a consistent basis
- Adapt quickly to new systems and processes
Requirements:
- Minimum 1 full year of experience as a Picker or Order Picker (required)
- Valid walkie rider license (preferred)
- Minimum 3 months of hands-on experience operating a walkie rider pallet jack (required)
- Experience operating a Raymond reach truck/forklift (preferred)
- Reliable personal transportation to and from the worksite for midnight shifts (required)
- Experience in a fast-paced technology, e-commerce, fulfillment, logistics, or high-volume warehouse environment
- Comfortable using smartphones, handheld devices, and scanning equipment
- Strong experience with RF scanners, barcode scanners, and digital inventory systems
- Demonstrated ability to meet speed and accuracy targets in a physically demanding role
- Tech-savvy and able to learn new systems quickly
- Candidates residing in or near Scarborough are preferred for commute reliability
