Overview
We are seeking an experienced Forklift Operator to join our warehouse team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in warehouse distribution, possess mechanical knowledge. The position offers an opportunity to work in a very fast-paced environment where safety, accuracy, and efficiency are paramount.
Duties
- Safely operate forklifts to move materials throughout the warehouse
- Perform heavy lifting of goods and supplies while adhering to safety protocols
- Load and unload shipments, ensuring proper placement and storage of items
- Conduct routine inspections of forklift equipment and report any maintenance issues
- Support warehouse distribution activities by organizing stock and preparing orders for shipment
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment to promote safety and efficiency
- Utilize basic math skills for inventory counts, measurements, and verifying order accuracy
Requirements
- Proven experience as a forklift operator in a warehouse or distribution center setting
- Valid forklift certification
- Mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot minor equipment issues
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently
- Basic math skills for inventory counting and measurement tasks
- Strong attention to detail with a focus on safety procedures
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with physical stamina for long shifts
- Prior experience in warehouse distribution or logistics is preferred
Pay: $23.00-$25.00 per hour
