Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Health and Safety Data & Compliance Coordinator to join our client's team on a 12 months contract. The ideal candidate will possess strong Power BI, Excel and Sharepoint skills, experience in health and safety field.
Key Responsibilities
Data Management & Reporting
- Maintain and update health and safety databases, trackers, and reporting systems.
- Collect, validate, refine, and analyze safety-related data from multiple sources.
- Develop and maintain KPI dashboards, trend reports, and performance metrics using Power BI and Excel.
- Prepare weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual health and safety reports for leadership teams.
- Monitor and track leading and lagging indicators, including incidents, inspections, corrective actions, and compliance metrics.
- Support the preparation of executive-level presentations and reporting materials using PowerPoint.
Claims and Compliance Support
- Maintain claims tracking and statistical reporting.
- Assist with monitoring claim trends, status updates, and follow-up actions.
- Support documentation and reporting requirements related to occupational health and safety legislation and internal compliance programs.
- Track corrective actions, audit findings, and departmental follow-ups to ensure completion within established timelines.
- Assist with internal audits, inspections, and compliance reviews as required.
Sharepoint Administration & Process Improvement
- Support the administration and maintenance of SharePoint sites, reporting tools, and digital safety systems.
- Develop and maintain automated workflows and process improvements using Power Automate.
- Identify opportunities to improve reporting accuracy, efficiency, and data integrity.
- Ensure all records, reports, and documentation are maintained in accordance with organizational standards and retention requirements.
Administrative & Coordination Support
- Coordinate follow-ups with departments regarding outstanding actions, documentation, and reporting requirements.
- Assist in the development of communication materials, safety bulletins, and presentations.
- Provide general administrative and operational support to the Health & Safety team as required.
Qualifications & Experience
- Postsecondary diploma or degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Business Administration, Data Analytics, or a related field.
- Minimum 2–3 years of experience in data coordination, reporting, administration, or health and safety support roles.
- Experience working with claims tracking and safety reporting is considered an asset.
Technical Skills
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including formulas, pivot tables, charts, and data analysis.
- Proficiency in Power BI for dashboard creation and reporting visualization.
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
- Experience using SharePoint for document and information management.
- Experience developing workflows and automations using Power Automate.
- Strong attention to detail and data accuracy.
