A majority of the work will be on residential sewer & water repairs/renewals in the HRM. The ideal candidates will have previous trenching experience, a positive team attitude, and willing to help in a variety of tasks on the job.
Description:
We are looking to hire a few people as Labourers
· Work closely with Foreman on variety of heavy civil type projects
· Wide variety of work includes: pipe laying, asphalt, concrete, grading and sodding.
· Maintain cleanliness of jobs sites
Requirements:
· Positive attitude, reliable, and hard working
· Excellent interpersonal and verbal communication skills
· Follow instructions and work as part of a team
· Must be willing to work flexible hours
· Able to work overtime and weekends when needed
· Wear appropriate personal protective equipment at all times
· Steeled toed boots needed-other safety equipment will be provided
· Weight Handling of 25kg (50lbs)
· Valid Driver’s License or reliable transportation to travel to the shop in Bedford each day for 7:00am
· Valid Drivers License with clean abstract
· Ability to pass a criminal background check
Experience:
· At least 1 year of construction experience
· Sewer & Water experience (Asset)
· Equipment & machinery experience (Asset)
· Snow Removal experience (Asset)
Job Type: Full-time
Expected hours: 35 – 50 per week
