About The Ottawa Hospital
Inspired by research and driven by compassion!
The Ottawa Hospital (TOH) is one of Canada’s largest learning and research multi-campus hospitals. With more than 1,100 beds and approximately 12,000 staff members, we deliver specialized care to the Eastern Ontario region.
From the compassion of our people to the relentless pursuit of new discoveries, The Ottawa Hospital never stops seeking solutions to the most complex health-care challenges while continually engaging with the community to support our vision for better patient care.
Working together with its research institute, the University of Ottawa, and other partners, the hospital is continually gaining national and international recognition for high-quality patient care, teaching and research, while striving to meet the needs of the culturally diverse community we serve.
The Ottawa Hospital is looking for a dynamic and talented health leader to join its Medical Imaging leadership team as Manager, X-Ray and CT. This is an exciting opportunity as we continue our journey of medical imaging services transformation through the optimization of a new health information and referral system, a multi-year capital equipment plan, and the future development of our new ‘world-class’ Civic hospital.
This multi-site, fast-paced Service Line encompasses a significant clinical service footprint, representing approximately 500,000 patient encounters per year throughout our various imagining modalities. Medical Imaging is home to hundreds of highly skilled and dedicated leaders, staff, physicians, and volunteers delivering on our vision of providing world-class medical imaging services that we would want for our own loved ones.
Reporting to the Director of Medical Imaging, the Manager works in a collaborative leadership dyad with physician leaders in the X-Ray and CT modalities, as well as the Department Head, Medical Imaging. The Manager provides strategic leadership, vision, and direction for X-Ray and CT modality operations.
The Manager, X-Ray and Ultrasound will work collaboratively with other members of the Medical Imaging management team, and other staff members to address both business and clinical needs in providing high quality services. The manager will apply learning and accountability consistent with a just culture, provide staff with written instruction on safety precautions where appropriate, ensure that staff adhere to standards of safe work and patient care, and will close the loop on staff and patient safety issues to ensure continuous improvement.
This position will also be integral to upholding the vision of TOH, to provide each patient with the world-class care, exceptional service and compassion that we would want for our loved ones.
