BIS Safety Software is an innovative organization providing leading software for the safety industry. We are expanding and are seeking a driven, sales-focused Event and Sponsorship Manager to join our team.
About the role
In this role, you’ll be responsible for leading the sales and execution of 30-40 corporate events (webinars, summit's, and a few larger, in-person events) annually across various industries and locations (Canada, US, and internationally). Your primary focus will be securing attendees, sponsorships, vendors, and top-tier speakers, while ensuring flawless event execution and high engagement. You'll play a key role in our company's growth by driving participation and engagement through these efforts.
This is an in-person role based out of our Sherwood Park, AB office.
- Sales Outreach: Drive attendance by reaching out to potential participants, promoting the value of our events through personalized sales pitches, emails, and presentations. There will be a heavy emphasis on both warm and cold emails and phone calls.
- Sponsorship Acquisition: Sell sponsorship packages and trade show booths to relevant companies, ensuring high visibility and engagement for our events.

Speaker Recruitment: Attract and secure high-profile speakers for our conferences, negotiating mutually beneficial terms.

Event Execution: Work closely with the marketing team to coordinate all event logistics, ensuring each event runs smoothly and meets attendance goals.

Strategy Development: Develop strategies to maximize event revenue through sponsorship, ticket sales, and partnerships.

Relationship Building: Cultivate long-term relationships with sponsors, vendors, and attendees to ensure repeat participation.
- Have a proven track record in event sales, sponsorship acquisition, or similar roles.

Are skilled at building and maintaining relationships, negotiations, and closing deals.

Excel at creative and strategic thinking to identify unique opportunities for sponsorship and speaker engagement.

Strong organizational skills to manage multiple events, timelines, and priorities.

A passion for delivering impactful and engaging events that drive business growth.

Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills, allowing you to craft compelling pitches and presentations. Strong email marketing skills are a requirement for this role.
