POSITION SUMMARY
Reporting to the Site Superintendent our Lead Foremen are required to be organized, flexible and work effectively in a fast paced environment. They can work well under pressure, particularly when faced with unexpected occurrences or delays. The ability to coordinate several major activities at once, while analyzing and resolving specific problems, is essential, as is an understanding of engineering, architectural, and other construction drawings. Urban One's Lead Foreman must be able to establish good working relationships with many different people, including other foreman, all trade persons, supervisors and laborers.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTION AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Comply with and effectively implement Urban One’s Safety Program to ensure safety and environmental standards are met or exceeded
- Provide direction and guidance when needed and as assigned by the Site Superintendent
- Manage and supervise trades as directed by Site Supervisor
- Able to carry out skilled labor tasks when needed
- Maintain job site morale, manage overall productivity, quality of work, respect and sense of urgency
- Ensure that quality standards are being met
- Recognize, address, and resolve issues among crew members
- Perform other activities at construction sites, as directed.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

5+ years experience in high-rise residential/mixed use construction
- Knowledge of and demonstrated proficiency in multiple trade functions such as carpentry, drywall, painting, etc. is a requirement, as is knowledge of various tools and equipment
- Must be able to read and interpret drawings, plans, blueprints
- Strong English language skills
- Ability to coordinate several simultaneous tasks while maintaining a positive attitude and flexible work style
- Must be punctual, reliable, with an excellent work ethic
