Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Shipper/Receiver for a 3-month direct hire opportunity in the Burnaby, BC area. This role is ideal for a reliable logistics professional with strong forklift operation skills, hands-on shipping and receiving experience, and the ability to support a busy distribution environment during vacation coverage and peak season.
As a Shipper/Receiver, you will play a key role in keeping warehouse operations moving efficiently by operating an electric counterbalance forklift, verifying loads, preparing orders, and supporting container offloading. Key Responsibilities
- Operate an electric counterbalance forklift to move, stage, load, and unload product safely and efficiently.
- Perform shipping and receiving duties, including verifying loads, checking documentation, and ensuring accuracy.
- Pick, pack, label, build, and wrap orders and skids for shipment.
- Offload containers from trucks and support inbound and outbound freight movement.
- Hand bomb product as required and assist with general warehouse tasks during busy periods.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area while following warehouse safety procedures.
Compensation and Benefits
- Pay rate: $28 per hour.
- Schedule: 8:30 AM to 4:00 PM.
- Position length: 3-month position covering vacations and peak season.
