ENTERPRISE RISK MANAGER

Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, you will be responsible for providing recommendations and make decisions on risk management issues that directly impact the strategic direction of the enterprise. You will identify and set the strategic risk management vision and deliver the strategy to the enterprise.

Accountabilities

Provide leadership, innovation, governance, and management necessary to identify, evaluate, and mitigate any risks that affect the enterprises business strategy, strategic objectives, and strategy execution
Develop, implement, and manage Risk Management tools, practices, and policies to analyze and report risks, and to manage risks according to a risk management framework
Lead, design and develop company-wide risk frameworks, accountabilities, processes, and methodologies
Identify and maintain a comprehensive understanding of the enterprise’s risk appetite
Ensure the organization's risk management policies and strategies are in compliance with applicable regulations, rating agency standards, and strategic imperatives of the organization
Prepare risk profiles and risk mitigation plans for Executives and the Board
Monitor and analyze risks within the company's business units and report on these risks to Senior Executives
Collaborate with key stakeholders to enhance the level of risk management maturity and to promote an active risk management culture

Specifics

7-10 years’ experience in Enterprise Risk Management and or Compliance
2+ years of direct or indirect leadership experience
Post-secondary education in Accounting, Finance, Business or related field
Professional certification or credential in risk or compliance preferred
Previous experience developing and implementing, and managing Risk Management practices and policies is an asset

Hours: 37.5 hour/week

Location: Please note this position is based out of our Head Office in High River, AB
