Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled ERP Developer with experience in Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central. In this role, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize Business Central's functionality, integrations, and overall performance. You will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing custom ERP and POS solutions that align with retail business needs. Data engineering experience is a valuable advantage. Experience with LS Retail is an asset.
What you will do in this role:
- ERP Development: Design, develop, and implement customizations, extensions, and integrations for Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central to support strategic and operational business priorities.
- System Integration: Develop and maintain integrations between Business Central and other third-party systems, including eCommerce (Shopify Plus), Order Management System, and Point-Of-Sale (LS Retail POS) ensuring seamless data synchronization across platforms.
- Data Architecture: Design and manage ERP data architecture for scalability, performance, and integrity across all operations.
- Business Intelligence: Collaborate with BI teams to build data pipelines for real-time reporting and analysis, ensuring business stakeholders have seamless access to critical data.
- Performance Optimization: Continuously monitor and improve system performance, particularly focusing on data management efficiencies and overall ERP performance.
- Support & Maintenance: Provide L3 support and collaborate with IT Helpdesk and Infrastructure team on technical support, troubleshooting, and system maintenance to ensure stable, high-performing ERP operations.
- Deployment Management: Lead planning, execution, and monitoring of deployment and post-deployment activities ensuring business continuity.
- User Training: Support operations team in developing training materials to end-users, empowering the Business to fully utilize the system's capabilities and features.
As an Ideal candidate, you have:
- Strong analytical skills to troubleshoot and resolve ERP-related issues, and design efficient solutions that meet business requirements.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work closely with various departments including finance, operations, IT, and external vendors.
- Proficiency in developing within Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central.
- Strong programming skills, particularly in AL language for Business Central, with experience in C/AL and C/SIDE is an asset.
- Knowledge of retail industry-specific business processes is a plus.
Your Qualifications Include:
- Experience in system integrations and working with web services, APIs, and integration tools like Azure Logic Apps and Power Automate.
- Experience with other Microsoft Dynamics 365 modules (e.g., Finance & Operations, Sales).
- Familiarity with SQL Server for managing databases, performance tuning, and reporting is an asset.
- Proven experience in developing and supporting Business Central ERP solutions.
- Hands-on experience with ERP implementations and post-go-live support.
- Experience with managing customer record data.
- General understanding of financial transactional data and related end-user interfaces, e.g. retail point-of-sale (POS) or related processes and data, (product items, price, discounts, tender, etc.)
- LS Retail experience is an asset.
- Data engineering experience, including ETL processes, data architecture, and large-scale data management, is an asset.
- Familiarity with Power BI or other reporting tools.
- Data engineering skills, such as experience with ETL pipelines, data warehouse, data lake, or data governance, are an asset.
