The Ministry of Energy and Resources, Forestry Development Branch is seeking a highly motivated individual to join our team as the Senior Forestry Analyst.
You will be responsible for the compilation and maintenance of forestry-related socio-economic statistics and data, the preparation of timber royalty revenue forecasts, and to monitor and analyze forest products markets. You will lead any reviews or amendments to the timber royalty regulations for Saskatchewan, including the development and maintenance of models. You will provide recommendations to senior management on issues affecting forestry sector growth and competitiveness.
Our candidate of choice will have knowledge of current issues, trends and sources of information related to the forestry sector.
The knowledge and skills required for this position would typically be demonstrated by the completion of a master's degree in economics, forestry or business administration, and experience in research, analysis and presentation of data. Other candidates may be considered based on their education and experience.
