Piggy and Paisley is a cafe / coffee shop and tearoom. We offer 35 kinds of tea, coffees, in-house baked pastries and afternoon tea. With our upcoming expansion where we will serve breakfast, we are looking for servers to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Provide professional and courteous customers service
- Welcome customers and provide hosting service
- Serve breakfast and / or afternoon tea
- Learn about and inform our customers about our teas
- Take customer orders and work with the POS system
- Provide excellent customer service by greeting customers, answering the phone, answering questions, and resolving any issues that may arise
- Handle cash transactions and maintain accurate cash handling procedures
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, including restocking supplies as needed
- Follow all food safety and sanitation guidelines
- Perform cleaning duties
In addition, responsibilities may include:
- Prepare and serve quality beverages
- Assist with the preparation of food (breakfast and / or afternoon tea)
- Operate espresso machine and other equipment
We are looking for attention to detail, flexibility and willingness to assist where needed.
Requirements:
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail and cleanliness
- Excellent communication skills
- Strong customer service skills with a friendly and positive attitude
- One year of serving experience
- Ability to work flexible hours including mornings, weekdays and weekends.
- Barista experience is a plus
- Food preparation experience is a plus
- References must be provided
- Must be legally entitled to work in Canada
