Resident Support Worker
Director of Care ( Unit supervision provided by Registered Staff)
Grade 12 Diploma and/or related health care
Problem Solving, Organizing Own Work, Excellent Recording and Reporting Skills, Personal Care Skills, Ability to read, write and communicate effectively in English, Second language may required in certain locations
Orientated on the Job/ Previous Health Care experience preferred

Clearing Dining rooms after meals

Cleaning tub rooms after baths of residents
Emptying linen carts
practicing universal precautions
maintaining and caring for nursing equipment
Communication of Information for Continuous Improvement
answering of call bells and informing of nursing staff of residents needs
informing staff of resident concerns and suggestions
informing staff on information impacting resident care and safety
participating in development of action plans to address concerns
participating in care conferences
Occupational Health and Safety Accountabilities
Carry out all assigned duties in compliance with applicable Occupational Health and Safety legislation and Company policy.
Follow safe work practices as directed by their supervisor and as required by the applicable Occupational Health and Safety legislation.
Participate in all required occupational health and safety training.
Use appropriate equipment and wear personal protective equipment or clothing,
Report any known or identified health and safety hazards or violations to their supervisor.
Refrain from any conduct that puts themselves, workers, contractors or others at risk.
