Operations Manager- Mission BC
Salary: $45,000.00 to $50,000.00 /year
Community Futures North Fraser, centrally located in downtown Mission, offers business financing, training, and advisory services to local entrepreneurs. We are a local non-profit organization dedicated to promoting economic development in our service area which includes Mission, Agassiz, Kent, Harrison Mills, and Harrison Hot Springs.
Community Futures North Fraser is looking to add an Operations Manager to the team to provide administrative support within the organization. Working under the direct supervision of the Executive Director and the Business Analyst, the successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the effective and efficient day-to-day operations within the office. This position has the possibility of later advancement into a Business Analyst role.
Objectives of the Role:
-To act as the first line of contact and customer-facing role for the organization responding to walk-in clients and all initial internal and external inquiries.
-Coordinate with management staff to assist in achieving operational objectives.
-Oversee customer relations and manage accurate data collection for reporting as required
Duties and Responsibilities:
-Oversee clerical duties for the office including processing accounts receivable
-Maintain the cleanliness of the office and order stationery supplies as needed.
-Organize and prepare for meetings of the Board and committees
-Maintain a calendar system for client appointments and a reservations system for board room and video conference equipment rentals
-Assist in updating the website and social media sites
-Act as staff liaison for the additional tenants in the office
Business Development Support
-Work under the Business Analyst’s guidance to maintain a well-organized loan administrative system
-Process and follow-up on business name requests through BC Online
-Be responsible for business security registration and perform all business, corporate, and court searches
-Maintain and update corporation’s databases, update client information in Exceptional Assistant Software (TEA)
Executive Director Assistance
-Prepare quarterly and yearly reports for Western Economic Diversification Canada
-Assist as needed with research for projects and contracts:
-Assist in preparation of committee and board meeting packages and record meeting minutes
-Coordinate materials for meetings and training sessions and other activities of the organization
-Assist in the marketing and promotion of all Community Futures North Fraser services
Qualifications & Skills:
-Excellent interpersonal communication and organizing skills to coordinate project activities
-Ability to communicate with others effectively
-Ability to conduct research for special projects and deliver presentations
-Strong personal and professional judgment with an awareness of inclusion and confidentiality
-Good decision-making skills and response to high-pressure situations
-Sound knowledge of Microsoft Office
-Experience with marketing and promotional
-A thorough understanding of financial and budgeting processes and principles

· Retail Banking: 2 years (Required)
· Commercial Lending: 1 year (Required)
· Operations: 3 years (Preferred)
· Previous experience in training and supporting self-employment clients (Preferred)
Post-secondary education in business or commerce, e.g. bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Economics, or Business Administration, or a business-related diploma from a recognized institution or a minimum 1-2 years commercial lending, or a combination of both education and small business lending.
