Assembler – Production

We are currently seeking a hands-on and reliable Assembler to join a fast-paced production/manufacturing environment. This is a great opportunity for someone with previous manufacturing, assembly, general labour, or production experience who is comfortable working with tools, parts, measurements, and established production procedures.
About the Role
As an Assembler, you will be responsible for preparing, cleaning, assembling, and inspecting parts prior to specialized processing. You will work closely with the production team to ensure components are properly prepared, meet quality requirements, and are ready for the next stage of production.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare parts and components for processing according to specific work instructions and production requirements.
- Apply required masking and protection to parts prior to processing.
- Install and position parts correctly on fixtures and tooling.
- Verify that previous production steps have been completed correctly and report any discrepancies.
- Inspect and clean fixtures, tooling, and equipment before use.
- Assemble, disassemble, strip, and clean parts and tooling as required.
- Perform manual, mechanical, and/or chemical cleaning of parts and samples.
- Use blasting/jet cleaning processes where required.
- Perform basic dimensional measurements using appropriate measuring tools.
- Conduct self-inspections to verify the quality and conformity of prepared parts.
- Complete production records, work instructions, and required documentation accurately.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workstation.
- Follow established production procedures, company policies, WHMIS requirements, and Occupational Health & Safety standards.
- Support on-the-job training and mentoring when required.
- Perform other production-related duties as assigned by the supervisor.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum 6 months of experience in a production, manufacturing, assembly, or similar hands-on environment.
- Strong manual dexterity and ability to work with small parts, components, tools, and fixtures.
- Good visual attention and ability to identify defects or inconsistencies.
- Comfortable handling chemical products while following established safety procedures.
- Ability to perform basic dimensional measurements.
- Knowledge or exposure to metrology, measuring tools, alloys, metals, surfaces, or manufacturing processes is considered an asset.
- Ability to follow detailed work instructions and production procedures.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a production team.
- French language skills are required.
Working Environment
- Manufacturing/workshop environment.
- Regular interaction with production personnel.
- Moderate physical effort is required.
- Regular contact with certain chemical products while following appropriate safety procedures and PPE requirements.
- Internal training, including WHMIS and Occupational Health & Safety, will be provided as required.

Pay: $20.45-$21.95 per hour
