Huronia Alarm & Fire Security Inc. is the recognized leader, throughout Central Ontario in the area of guarding, security, monitoring, fire safety and fire suppression, cameras, access control, life safety, audio, video, low-voltage lighting, structured wiring, lock, key and safe products and services.
THIS POSITION IS LOCATED IN THE MUSKOKA AREA.
This position could work days or nights. We anticipate a busy spring and summer and need a Part Time Security Guard to help during the busy season. More hours in the summer months. Some scheduled and on-call. Locations vary throughout the Muskoka area. Must have own reliable vehicle. Mileage is paid.
Summary of Duties:
- Hourly guarding services to our clients.
- Attend on site to alarm calls as directed by the monitoring station staff.
- Secure sites as required and within the client’s contractual agreement.
- Pick up keys to assist with attendance to alarm calls and returning the keys at the cessation of the call.
- Secure property and rearming system upon attendance to site.
- Report back to the monitoring station their findings and resolve with respect to each call they have attended.
- Record and report the findings of each security alarm call and provide this information to the main office at the end of every shift.
- Report to designated sites to perform guarding services as dictated by agreements with clients for said service and complete required documentation as required.
- Must be willing to travel within our response area in own reliable vehicle.
- Other related duties as assigned
Qualifications:
· Valid Ontario Security Guard license, previous security guard experience
· Clean criminal record, Vulnerable Sector & Police Check required
· Current First Aid/CPR
· Own reliable vehicle
· Must be able to work in a variety of weather conditions and work a variety of different shift times - days, afternoons, nights depending on customer demand.
· Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Pay: From $20.00 per hour
