Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) to join our dynamic dental team. The ideal candidate will bring a strong background in dental assisting, with experience in orthodontics, pediatrics, and familiarity with dental software Gold. The RDA will be responsible for assisting the dentist during procedures, managing patient flow, and ensuring smooth clinic operations. Prior experience with CAD and medical terminology is a plus, along with a passion for providing exceptional dental care.
Duties
- Assist the dentist during various dental procedures, including orthodonic and Pediatric
- Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize instruments according to infection control protocols
- Manage patient records using dental software such as Epic and Dentrix
- Take and develop dental radiographs as needed
- Educate patients on treatment plans and post-procedure care
- Maintain accurate documentation of procedures performed
- Support front desk staff as a dental receptionist when necessary
- Ensure compliance with all safety and health regulations, including proper use of CAD tools for digital impressions or restorations
Qualifications
- Valid Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) license or certification
- Experience with Epic and Dentrix dental software platforms
- Knowledge of orthodontics, pediatrics, and general dentistry procedures
- Familiarity with medical terminology relevant to dental practice
- Strong understanding of dental assisting techniques and infection control standards
- Experience with CAD technology for digital dentistry is preferred
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work well within a team environment
- Prior experience as a dental receptionist is a plus but not required
