Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and skilled Knuckle Boom Crane Truck Operator for trucks rated 22 tons and under. In this vital role, you will operate specialized knuckle boom cranes mounted on trucks to assist with construction, loading, unloading, and material handling tasks. Your expertise will ensure safe, efficient operations while maintaining excellent communication with team members and clients. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to diverse projects, utilizing your mechanical knowledge and crane operation skills to deliver top-quality service in a fast-paced environment.
The successful candidate is someone who takes pride in their work, has solid crane operating experience, and puts safety first. Class 3 license, at a minimum is required. Class 1 license and/or additional crane certifications or experience will be considered a strong asset.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate knuckle boom crane trucks and associated equipment
- Load, unload, lift, and transport various materials and equipment
- Properly rig and secure loads before transport
- Complete pre-trip and equipment inspections
- Follow all applicable safety regulations and company procedures
- Complete daily logs, paperwork, and required documentation
- Communicate clearly with customers, site personnel, and dispatch
- Keep the truck, crane, and equipment clean and well maintained
- Report mechanical issues or safety concerns promptly
Experience/Requirements
- Minimum Class 3 Driver’s License required
- Class 1 Driver’s License preferred
- Must have minimum 22 ton and under folding boom crane certificate
- Experience operating a knuckle boom / articulating crane truck
- Must be able to speak, read, and write English fluently and communicate effectively
- Strong knowledge of safe lifting, loading, rigging, and securing procedures
- Ability to perform daily pre-trip and equipment inspections
- Clean and responsible driving record
- Strong safety awareness and a professional attitude
- Able to work independently and as part of a team
- Good communication and customer-service skills
- Ability to work outdoors and in varying weather conditions
- Must be available for weekend shifts and night shifts as required
- Willingness to work flexible hours based on operational requirements
Work Schedule
This position requires flexibility and availability for day, night, and weekend shifts. Operators must be willing to work outside regular business hours when required by customer and project needs.
