Logistics Manager

Our client is seeking an experienced and results-driven Logistics Manager to oversee and optimize all aspects of logistics and transportation operations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing inbound and outbound shipments, ensuring regulatory compliance, controlling freight costs, and improving supply chain efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage international and domestic transportation operations, including ocean, air, rail, and ground freight.
- Coordinate the timely movement of materials, inventory, and finished goods.
- Develop cost-effective transportation strategies and optimize logistics processes.
- Negotiate and manage relationships with carriers, freight forwarders, customs brokers, and third-party logistics providers (3PLs).
- Ensure compliance with import/export regulations, customs requirements, and trade agreements.
- Monitor freight spend and identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements.
- Collaborate with purchasing, production, warehouse, sales, and finance teams to support operational priorities.
- Resolve shipment delays, customs issues, damages, and freight discrepancies promptly.
- Utilize ERP systems, TMS platforms, and tracking tools to improve shipment visibility and reporting.
- Lead, mentor, and develop the logistics team while promoting a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, International Business, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in logistics or supply chain management.
- Strong knowledge of customs regulations, trade compliance, and cross-border logistics.
- Experience negotiating transportation contracts and managing logistics vendors.
- Knowledge of ocean, air, rail, and trucking operations.
- Experience using ERP systems, TMS platforms, and logistics analytics tools.
- Strong leadership, communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Relevant logistics or supply chain certifications are considered an asset.
Pay: From $60,000.00 per year
