BPL Hydroseed and Environmental (“BPL”) is a premier provider of erosion control and land restoration solutions in Salmon Arm, BC. We are currently in search of a Truck Driver to join our team.
Role Overview:
As a Truck Driver at BPL, you will play a vital role in supporting the hydroseeding operations, ensuring the successful implementation of our projects. You will work closely with the Hydroseed Operators and our equipment to help with various tasks related to hydroseeding and land restoration. Position is contract full-time, estimated April - November 2026 (opportunity for future recurring contracts).
Primary Responsibilities:
- Operate and drive the hydroseed truck(s) in a safe and efficient manner.
- Assist hydroseed operators in setting up and preparing hydroseeding equipment and materials.
- Help in monitoring and adjusting hydroseeding processes on-site as directed.
- Support with the loading/unloading of materials as required.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections, maintain accurate driver logs and required documentation.
- Perform minor repairs and troubleshooting when necessary to ensure vehicle readiness.
- Follow all traffic laws, safety protocols, and company policies.
- Maintain clean and organized equipment.
Qualifications:
- Valid Class 3 drivers licence (or Class 1).
- Ability to drive standard transmission trucks.
- Clean commercial drivers abstract.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
- Willingness to preform job duties and work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- Experience in commercial driving.
- Strong work ethic and attention to detail.
- Positive attitude and eagerness to learn.
- Camp work will be required from time to time.
- Knowledge of equipment operation and automotive repair is an asset.
