Opportunity:
Reporting to the Director of Construction, the Superintendent will supervise and coordinate site crews’ activities, ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget. This position requires working on-site, potentially across Western Canada.
Responsibilities:
- Plan, schedule, organize, direct and control construction projects from start to finish according to schedule, specifications and budget.
- Interact with sub-contractors, project managers, owners, and consultants on a day-to-day basis.
- Oversee day-to-day field activities while enforcing policies and procedures.
- Supervise the activities of subcontractors and subordinate staff.
- Manage quality assurance and quality control program.
- Monitor and ensure on-site safety compliance.
- Be a mentor and leader for superintendents and foreman and actively participate in developing team culture while promoting the companies culture and values.
- Mentor and train new employees.
- The successful candidate must be willing to travel on a 2/1 rotation.
Experience and Qualifications:
- Minimum 5 years of experience in construction is required.
- Minimum 3 years of construction supervision experience is required with the ability to supervise a crew of 10 or more.
- Possession of a Journeyperson Carpenter ticket is preferred.
- Knowledge of building processes and detailed knowledge of all aspects of concrete trades and practices is required.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and plans.
- Understanding and commitment to safety is required.
- Demonstrates tact, diplomacy, and discretion when handling confidential and sensitive information.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Strong leadership and team-building skills.
- Experience working in extreme weather conditions is considered an asset.
- Possession of a valid driver’s license is required.

Pay: $110,000.00-$140,000.00 per year
