As a pharmacist, your primary responsibility is to manage the operations of the Pharmacy during your shift. This includes providing consultations to both customers and healthcare providers, practicing within your full scope of professional services, dispensing medication, and assisting in maintaining the dispensary.
Key Responsibilities:
- Greet and acknowledge all customers approaching the Pharmacy.
- Adhere to federal/provincial regulatory and legal requirements.
- Ensure customer confidentiality and manage consent in compliance with privacy regulations.
- Offer counseling on prescriptions as well as over-the-counter and behind-the-counter products.
- Provide professional services to the full extent of your capabilities.
- Maintain visibility and professionalism to the public.
- Verify the accuracy and appropriateness of all prescriptions dispensed.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive customer care.
- Maintain records in accordance with legislation, practice standards, and company policy.
