Materials Testing Firm Seeking Entry Level Field Technicians
Growing engineering firm is seeking a Field Technician to perform onsite concrete and materials testing and inspection work in Greater Vancouver, BC region. The qualified applicant will be responsible for providing accurate and timely sampling, testing and inspection for quality control purposes within the civil construction industry; including concrete, asphalt, aggregates and soils. Experience in the construction industry or materials testing field is an asset.
Working in the field and in our materials testing lab, the technician will be required to prepare and maintain various test reports and records, liaison with client representatives, navigate non-conformance issues and provide technical support where needed.
Starting Wage: $23.00 to $25.00 /hour. Wage is negotiable based on prior experience. Company vehicle and on the job training are provided.
Requirements:
Math and personal communication skills, a valid driver’s license, and satisfactory driving record. The ability to lift at least 50lbs on a regular basis is required.
The perfect candidate will have aspirations of a career in Civil Engineering, Civil Technology, or a related field. You have excellent interpersonal skills, the ability to work independently, are organized and have the ability to develop and drive team objectives and build ethical work relationships.
