Position Overview
The Warehouse Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the warehouse, ensuring the efficient receipt, storage, inventory control, and distribution of raw materials, metal components, and production supplies required to support manufacturing operations. This hands-on leadership role supervises a small warehouse team while actively participating in warehouse activities, including material handling, inventory management, and equipment operation.
The Warehouse Supervisor is accountable for maintaining inventory accuracy through cycle counting, physical inventory counts, and accurate inventory transactions utilizing ERP systems and RF scanning technology. This position plays a critical role in ensuring materials are available to support production schedules while promoting a safe, organized, and productive work environment.
Essential Functions
- Supervise, coordinate, and participate in the daily activities of warehouse personnel.
- Lead, coach, train, and develop a small warehouse team.
- Ensure the accurate receipt, storage, handling, and issuance of raw materials, metal parts, and production supplies.
- Operate reach trucks and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently as required.
- Perform and oversee cycle counts, physical inventory counts, inventory audits, and inventory reconciliations.
- Utilize RF scanners, handheld barcode scanning equipment, and inventory management systems to accurately process inventory transactions.
- Troubleshoot and resolve inventory discrepancies resulting from scanning, labeling, receiving, shipping, or transaction errors.
- Ensure all inventory and material transactions are accurately recorded within the ERP system.
- Monitor inventory levels and coordinate replenishment activities to prevent production shortages.
- Promote and maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment.
- Collaborate with Production, Planning, and Purchasing teams regarding material requirements.
- Prepare reports and metrics relating to inventory accuracy and warehouse operations.
- All other related duties or projects as may be assigned.
Education
- Postsecondary education in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Operations Management, or a related discipline is preferred.
- Reach Truck Certification is required.
Experience
- Minimum 3–5 years of warehouse, inventory control, or materials management experience within a manufacturing environment.
- Minimum 2 years of supervisory or team leadership experience.
- Experience managing raw materials, metal components, and production-related inventory.
- Experience conducting cycle counts, physical inventory counts, inventory audits, and inventory reconciliation activities.
- Experience using ERP systems, warehouse management systems, and RF scanning technology.
Skills & Qualifications
- Valid Reach Truck Certification with proven operating experience.
- Strong proficiency using RF scanning equipment, handheld barcode scanners, and electronic inventory tracking systems.
- Demonstrated ability to accurately process inventory transactions using scanning technology.
- Strong understanding of inventory control principles, warehouse operations, and material flow management.
- Proficiency using ERP systems and Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent leadership, coaching, and communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Knowledge of workplace health and safety regulations and safe material handling practices.

Work Arrangement: This role is performed Monday to Friday 7:00am to 4:00pm on-site at our facility located at 35 Oak Street in North York.

Pay: $70,000.00-$85,000.00 per year
