Overview
We are seeking an experienced Operations Manager to oversee warehouse operations, field services, logistics, inventory management, scheduling, quality control, and resource planning. This leadership role is responsible for ensuring projects and services are delivered safely, efficiently, on time, and within budget while driving operational excellence across the organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead day-to-day warehouse, logistics, and field operations.
- Manage scheduling, dispatch, workforce planning, and resource allocation.
- Oversee inventory control, shipping, receiving, order fulfillment, and asset management.
- Support project delivery through effective coordination of personnel, equipment, and materials.
- Monitor operational performance, productivity, quality, and profitability.
- Conduct site visits, audits, and quality inspections to ensure compliance with company standards.
- Develop and improve operational processes and procedures.
- Manage operational budgets, pricing, cost control, and financial reporting.
- Lead, coach, and develop operational staff and subcontractors.
- Promote a strong culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement.
Qualifications
Required
- Resident of Nova Scotia.
- Valid Class 5 Driver's License.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in operations management, logistics, warehousing, field operations, project management, or a related leadership role.
- Strong leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Experience with scheduling, dispatch, inventory management, and operational planning.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Microsoft Teams, and operational software systems.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
Preferred
- Forklift certification.
- Experience in construction, trades, logistics, installation, or warehousing industries.
- Familiarity with QA/QC processes, project management platforms, and warehouse management systems.
- Experience with budgeting, forecasting, and performance reporting.
