Proof of Care is a Canadian-owned and operated home care company providing compassionate, personalized care to seniors and adults throughout the Lower Mainland. Our team includes caregivers, Health Care Assistants, nurses, and care coordinators who work closely with clients and families to help individuals remain safe, independent, and comfortable in their own homes.
We pride ourselves on providing consistent, relationship-based care and supporting clients with a wide range of needs, from companionship and daily living assistance to complex care and palliative support.
Position Summary
We are currently seeking caring, reliable, and professional caregivers to join our team on a casual basis.
This position is ideal for someone looking for flexible hours while making a meaningful difference in the lives of seniors and their families. As a casual employee, shifts are offered based on client needs, caregiver availability, and service demands. Hours are not guaranteed but may increase over time depending on performance, availability, and client fit.
Responsibilities
Provide compassionate, client-centered care in clients' homes.
Assist with personal care including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and hygiene assistance.
Support clients with mobility, transfers, and fall prevention.
Prepare meals and assist with nutritional needs.
Provide companionship, social engagement, and emotional support.
Perform light housekeeping duties including laundry, dishes, and maintaining a safe environment.
Provide medication reminders as directed by the care plan.
Accompany clients to appointments, outings, or community activities as required.
Observe and report changes in client condition to the office team.
Complete accurate and timely documentation using company software and mobile applications.
Work collaboratively with nurses, families, and other healthcare professionals to support client goals and wellbeing.
Qualifications
Health Care Assistant (HCA) Certificate from a recognized Canadian program preferred.
Experience working with seniors, individuals living with dementia, or clients with complex care needs is considered an asset.
Current First Aid and CPR certification.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Reliable transportation and willingness to travel to client homes.
Ability to work independently and exercise good judgment.
Comfortable using mobile applications for scheduling and documentation.
Clear Criminal Record Check.
