Responsibilities
- Preparing restaurant tables with special attention to sanitation and order
- Attending to customers upon entrance to the restaurant
- Presenting menus, serving and helping customers select food/beverages
- Take and serve orders
- Answering the phone
- Answer questions and provide recommendations to guests
- Collaborate with other restaurant servers, bar staff and kitchen
- Deal with complaints or problems with a positive attitude
- Familiarity with POS systems and Reservations systems such as OpenTable
- Issue bills and accept payment
- Opening and closing the business as per standards, policies and procedures
- Check customers’ identification and confirm it meets legal drinking age
- Stay guest focused and nurture an excellent guest experience
- Comply with all food and beverage regulations, particularly a familiarity with AGLC and AHS
- Understand a wide knowledge of wine
Requirements and Skills
- Proven restaurant serving experience
- Hands-on experience in cashier duties
- Attention to cleanliness and safety
- Patience and customer-oriented approach
- Excellent people skills with a friendly attitude
- Responsible and trustworthy
- Proserve is required!
- Bartending experience is considered an asset
