# Server/Bartender
Wharf & Flame Smokehouse + Lounge is looking for an experienced Server/Bartender to join our growing team in the heart of Steveston Fisherman's Wharf.
This is a hybrid position, with a combination of serving and bartending shifts. We're looking for someone who is confident behind the bar, enjoys providing exceptional guest service, and thrives in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
Our restaurant features a large waterfront patio, Texas-style smoked barbecue, handcrafted cocktails, and a lively atmosphere. If you're passionate about hospitality and enjoy working in a busy restaurant, we'd love to hear from you.
### Responsibilities
- Provide outstanding service to guests from arrival to departure
- Work a combination of serving and bartending shifts
- Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages while following all liquor service regulations
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using our POS system
- Serve food and drinks efficiently while maintaining presentation standards
- Make cocktail, beer, wine, and food recommendations
- Upsell food, beverages, and desserts when appropriate
- Maintain a clean, organized bar and dining area
- Handle cash and process payments accurately
- Restock bar inventory and complete opening and closing duties
- Work closely with the kitchen and front-of-house team to ensure a smooth guest experience
- Follow all food safety, sanitation, and responsible liquor service standards
### Qualifications
- Previous bartending experience is mandatory
- Previous serving experience is required
- Serving It Right certification is required
- Strong knowledge of cocktails, beer, wine, and spirits
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Positive attitude and strong work ethic
- Reliable, punctual, and a team player
- Evening, weekend, and holiday availability is required
