Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook a variety of dishes according to established recipes and presentation standards
- Oversee daily kitchen operations, including food prep, cooking, and plating to ensure efficiency and quality
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of all kitchen areas, adhering to health and safety regulations
- Collaborate with team members to develop new menu items and improve existing offerings
- Manage inventory levels of ingredients, supplies, and equipment to minimize waste and control costs
- Train and mentor junior kitchen staff to uphold high standards of culinary skill and professionalism
- Ensure all food is prepared in a timely manner to meet service deadlines
Skills
- Proven experience as a professional Chef with a strong culinary background
- Knowledge of various cooking techniques, cuisines, and presentation styles
- Ability to operate hand tools, power tools, farm machinery, and other kitchen equipment safely and efficiently
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
- Strong communication skills for effective teamwork and customer interaction
- Familiarity with sales principles to promote menu items and enhance guest satisfaction
- Flexibility to work varied shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
