Our firm is looking for an experienced Law Clerk to join our team as soon as possible! We're a small firm of 3 lawyers and 1 support staff. We practice in the areas of Corporate & Commercial law and Wills & Estates law.
The ideal candidate will have 2+ years of experience in Corporate & Commercial law. Experience in Wills & Estates law and Real Estate law would be an asset.
Ideally, you have experience in:
· Completing incorporations, amalgamations, amendments, reorganizations, and dissolutions
· Completing and filing various corporate filings, including Ontario Annual Information Returns, Notices of Change, Business Name Registrations, etc.
· Creating and maintaining minute books, including annual updates and resolving deficiencies of corporate records
· Preparing documents related to, and assisting throughout the entire process of, commercial transactions
· Completing and filing probate applications along with supporting documents
· Completing and filing survivorship applications, inter-spousal transfers, transmission applications, and transfers by personal representatives
If you have any experience with the Ontario Business Registry Partner Portal, Teraview, ESC, CosmoLex, PCLaw, or Estateably, please make sure to highlight them in your application.
