Position:
The Staff Pharmacist is responsible for the administration of the pharmacy, providing excellent customer service to patients and visitors, and maintaining the cleanliness and appearance of the pharmacy. The Staff Pharmacist will also assist in the development of new products, procedures, and services in order to provide quality services to our customers.
Essential Functions:
- Additional Prescribing and injection certification for kids 2 years and above
- Prepares and dispenses medications to patients according to patient care plan; maintains patient-specific medical terminology; assists patients with understanding of medical terminology; interprets medication dosage directions; verifies insurance eligibility; prepares and dispenses medications to patients according to patient care plan; documents all patient information in EMR system.
- Assists patients by explaining medication benefits, cost, and benefits/costs; provides instructions for medication use; provides information about medication side effects and contraindications; assists patients by dispensing medications.
- Maintains inventory of all medications by monitoring stock levels; verifying stock levels against inventory records; replenishing stock when necessary by following procedures for replenishment.
- Maintains cleanliness of pharmacy by performing cleaning duties; cleaning station by wiping tables, chairs, counters, walls, windows, door handles, etc.; packaging prescription drugs for delivery to patients.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.Required Skills:
- Additional Prescribing and injection certification for kids 2 years and above
- Familiar with travel consultations and vaccinations
- Motivated to do clinical services like CACP, SMMA, Follows ups
- Knowledge of drug laws/regulations/policies.
- Knowledge of pharmacology and pharmacotherapy.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Ability to communicate effectively with customers and co-workers at all levels of the organization.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule including nights/weekends/holidays as needed.
- Must be able to pass a background check.

Pay: $55.00-$65.00 per hour
