Join Kent Building Supplies as an Overnight Freight Associate in Halifax. In this role, you will play a vital part in ensuring our store is stocked and ready for customers each day. Your efforts will support our mission to deliver top-quality products and outstanding service to homeowners and contractors alike.
Responsibilities
- Receive, ship, and verify the accuracy of incoming and outgoing products.
- Distribute merchandise to appropriate departments in a timely manner.
- Perform material handling tasks, including lifting, moving, and organizing products.
- Ensure proper stocking and replenishment of inventory across all areas.
- Utilize electronic devices and systems to support daily operations.
- Assist with inventory management to maintain accurate stock levels.
- Set up and maintain flyer and promotional displays.
- Other duties as assigned by manager.
Qualifications
- Reliable means of transportation is required.
- Ability to perform manual labor, including lifting and standing for extended periods.
- Minimum age of 21 required to operate forklifts.
- Willingness to be trained on equipment and machine operation.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and stay organized.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Demonstrates a strong work ethic and a positive, team-oriented attitude.
- Proven experience in warehouse environments is preferred.
