The Opportunity

Reporting directly to the Recreation Facilities Supervisor, this role is responsible for effectively administering, supervising and managing all day to day operations, capital planning, capital delivery, quality assurance and staff supervision for the assigned facilities.

As a key member of the Facility Management Team, this position oversees all full time and part time maintenance staff and work for assigned facilities while ensuring customer satisfaction and safety.

The Ideal Candidate

We are seeking a professional with education, training and/or knowledge, normally acquired from a post-secondary diploma in Recreation Facilities, Building, Property Management, Recreation Studies or a closely related field.

The candidate ideally has 3 – 5 years related experience in a recreation or property management setting including the operation and maintenance of arenas and/or pools. This candidate must have a minimum of 1-3 years of supervisory experience. Certification in Standard First Aid and CPR “C” with AED, Certified Pool Operator, Basic Refrigeration would be an asset.

This individual will coordinate and schedule major ice, pool and building maintenance; ensure all service requests are dealt with in a timely manner; inspect and ensure building maintenance tasks are completed to Town of Caledon and/or service industry standards.

We are seeking an individual who will assist in the implementation of policies, procedures and programs that support the operation. The incumbent must have excellent communication skills with the ability to respond to emergencies, inquiries and complaints and ensure a positive relationship between the public, outside agencies and internal staff.

This position offers a salary range of $69,112.77 - $81731.34 plus a competitive benefit package.
